Questions people
ask before moving in.

A quick guide to payments, storage rules, and the spaces available here.

When is rent due, and what payment methods do you accept?

Rent is due on the first and is late after the tenth. The office accepts cash, check, money order, cashier’s check, or bank bill pay. Debit and credit card payments carry a 4% service fee.

What can’t I keep in a storage unit?

Do not store food or animal feed, explosives, fireworks, weapons or ammunition, propane, flammable or hazardous materials, illegal goods, or anything that produces strong odors. Units may not be used as living space or as a place to operate a business.

Do I have to buy insurance?

No. Contents insurance is not required, but the facility does not insure your stored property. Check whether your homeowner’s or renter’s policy covers belongings kept away from home, or arrange separate coverage if you want it.

Can I store a boat, RV, or vehicle here?

Railroad offers enclosed storage for household and business belongings, but not boat, RV, or vehicle storage.

Are there any deposits?

There is no security deposit. Bring your own lock for the unit.
